ആവിര്‍ഭാവം, അവന്‍റെയും …
ശരി-തെറ്റുകള്‍ നോക്കിയല്ല ഇതെഴുതാന്‍ തുടങ്ങിയത്. ഒരു പ്രത്യേക ആവശ്യത്തിനായാണ് എഴുത്ത് ആരംഭിച്ചതും. പക്ഷേ വേണ്ടിവന്നില്ല.
കുറച്ച്‌ നാള്‍ ഇതങ്ങിനെ വിസ്മൃതിയില്‍ ആണ്ടുകിടന്നു. എങ്കിലും ഇടക്ക് മനസ്സില്‍ തോന്നിയിരുന്നു തീര്‍ച്ചയായും ഉപകരിക്കുമെന്ന്. ഏറെ കഴിഞ്ഞാണ് ബോധ്യം വന്നത്, ആ തോന്നല്‍ എനിക്ക് മാത്രം പോര എന്ന് ………. ഉദ്യമം വൃഥാവില്‍ ആയെന്ന്.
വെറുതെ കളയാന്‍ മനസ്സ് വരാത്തതുകൊണ്ട് എന്‍റെ മുന്‍പത്തെ തര്‍ജ്ജമക്ക്‌ തുടര്‍ച്ചയായാലോ എന്നാണ് പിന്നീട് ആലോചിച്ചത്.
‘ഇഴച്ച്കെട്ടിയാല്‍ മുഴച്ചുനില്‍ക്കുമെന്ന’ പഴമൊഴി അറിയാഞ്ഞിട്ടല്ല, എങ്കിലും ഒരു ഇടനാഴി പണിത്, തമ്മില്‍ കൂടിച്ചേരാന്‍ ഒരു സാധ്യത ബാക്കി നിര്‍ത്തി, ഇതിവിടെ ഇടാന്‍ തോന്നി ………. ചെയ്യുന്നു.
ഒരു ‘സ്റ്റാന്‍ണ്ട്-എലോണ്‍’ കഥയാണെങ്കിലും മുന്‍ഗാമിയുണ്ടെന്ന കാര്യം എനിക്കിവിടെ വിസ്മരിക്കാനാവില്ല. പണ്ടൊരിക്കല്‍ ഞാന്‍ ഇംഗ്ലീഷില്‍ നിന്ന്‍ വിവര്‍ത്തനം ചെയ്ത ഒരു കഥ, ‘ബോട്സ്വാന’ എന്ന പേരില്‍ ഇവിടെ വന്നിരുന്നു. അത് നിര്‍ത്തിയിടത്തു നിന്ന്‍, ഇത് തുടങ്ങുന്നു.
അവിടെ പ്രധാന കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളായ സേതുരാമനെയും കാമിനിയും ഇവിടെ ഞാന്‍ വീണ്ടും കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നു. ഈ സൈറ്റില്‍ സെര്‍ച്ച്‌ ചെയ്‌താല്‍ വായനക്കാര്‍ക്ക് ‘ബോട്സ്വാന’ വേണമെങ്കില്‍ കിട്ടേണ്ടതാണ്. താല്‍പ്പര്യമില്ലെങ്കില്‍ ഈ കഥ മാത്രം വായിച്ച് മുന്നോട്ട് പോവുക.

ബോട്സ്വാന വളരെ വൈകിയാണ് വായിച്ചത്. ഇപ്പോ ദേ ഇതും. Characterization, narration ഒക്കെ വളരെ നന്നായി ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു. പൂർത്തിയായ കഥയായത് കൊണ്ട് മുഴുവൻ വായിച്ച ശേഷം ബാക്കി പറയാം.

പ്രിയ റീഡര്‍, ഇത് ഒരു നോണ്‍ ലീനിയെര്‍ നരേഷന്‍ ആയി എഴുതി കഴിയാറായി. ഇനി സേതുവിന്‍റെ കാഴ്ചപ്പാടിലേക്ക് മാറ്റാന്‍ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുണ്ട്. പിന്നെ കാമിനിയുടെ കുസൃതിത്തരങ്ങള്‍ കള്ളത്തരങ്ങളുടെ മട്ടില്‍ താങ്കള്‍ ഉദ്ദേശിച്ച പ്രകാരം എഴുതുന്നുണ്ട്. പക്ഷെ അതൊരിക്കലും വഞ്ചനയുടെ രീതിയില്‍ എനിക്ക് ആക്കാന്‍ ആകില്ല. ഈ കഥാപാത്രങ്ങള്‍ തമ്മില്‍ അത്രയ്ക്ക് പരസ്പ്പരം സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവര്‍ ആണ്.
